Adding Flash

- There are usually two types of Flash that are found on the web.
- Flash animation:
- This includes those advertisements that can be very annoying.
- Also, buttons and other objects.
- Entire sites can be made using Flash.
- Below is a Flash .swf file of a button from a Flash library of buttons that comes with the program.
- Note: I have not added any functionality to it other than its original rollover and click images.
- .swf stands for shockwave flash .
- It is usually pronounced swiff.
- It is the compressed file that gets exported (published per Flash menu) from the native .fla Flash file format.
- The .fla file contains the information needed to modify and re-publish the .swf file if needed.
- Note the complexity of the html code used to insert this Flash button. Fortunately, Flash or Dreamweaver can create this code easily:

- The other file format Flash is best know for is .flv - Flash video.
